Keith Sherman is the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of the University of Louisville Foundation (Foundation). The Foundation exists to support the academic mission of the University of Louisville. Keith manages the Foundation’s day-to-day operations and activities. He also is the Executive Director of the University of Louisville Real Estate Foundation, a separate entity that holds and manages over 20 properties. Collectively the two Foundations have almost $250 million in real estate holdings and more than $1.3 billion in assets.
Under Keith’s leadership, the Foundation has implemented important and very successful strategic changes which have enabled it to reach all-time high values for its endowment and total assets as of December 31, 2021, while re-instilling donor confidence in its operations. The Foundation is very well positioned for future growth and to provide meaningful support to the University today, tomorrow, and in perpetuity.
Keith holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from University of Massachusetts as well as his Juris Doctor Degree from Boston University School of Law. His work experience includes executive positions, including in Human Resources, at some of the country’s largest public, private and not-for-profit organizations including among others, Kindred Healthcare, Thorntons Inc. and the American Red Cross.
