Priscila Feijó Mattingly

Priscila Feijó Mattingly is an accomplished HR and DE&I executive helping organizations leverage culture and progressive human resources practices to attract, engage, develop, and retain high-performance teams.

With early education and a career in Communications and Marketing, followed by 17 years of HR experience, Priscila brings a unique perspective to the helm of the people function, combining the long-established HR practices with cutting-edge strategies around the candidate and the employee experience. Her diversified background includes global HR proficiency, a high degree of cultural awareness, knowledge of multiple industries, both private and publicly traded, a wide range of scope (from 300 to 16,000 employees), and all phases of company maturation (start-up, fast growth, M&A, and divestiture).
Priscila started her career in Brazil, serving as Communications and Marketing Advisor for Esys Colibri. This software start-up quickly earned the largest market share of its category in Latin America and later was acquired by multi-national NCR. This role’s most notable accomplishments included creating training for employees and clients that generated a new line of income for the organization and establishing communication programs for employees and customers.

In 2004 Priscila immigrated to the United States with 5 words of English in her vocabulary and $500 in her pocket. The process of reinventing her career in a new country led to an opportunity to conduct training for Yum! Brands, a company that also allowed her to learn all aspects of HR, served as a catalyst for her newly founded HR career. Over the next 7 years, between Yum! Brands and Wendy’s/Arby’s Priscila had the opportunity to learn all aspects of the HR suite, with a special focus on Learning & Development, Performance and Succession Management, Employee Engagement, and Culture.

In 2011 Priscila moved to the hospitality industry, initially to lead the Learning & Development function at Hospitality Staffing Solutions (HSS). This role quickly transitioned into the overarching leadership of the HR function. Her most notable accomplishments included the transformation of talent acquisition processes responsible for attracting 10,000 employees per year and the development of training programs that increased client satisfaction while significantly increasing productivity metrics.

In 2014 Priscila was recruited by Cortland to build the Learning and Development function from the ground up. During her first few months of employment, Priscila was promoted to lead the entire HR suite, lending itself to the most formative experience of her career. Over the next 5 years, Priscila designed and executed strategies to help Cortland grow from 300 to 2,100 employees, including international expansion and M&A efforts. Under her leadership, Cortland achieved high levels of employee engagement, making the Top Places to Work for 5 consecutive years. Other notable accomplishments included the design and execution of DE&I strategy, creation of internal communications function, the establishment of executive coaching and leadership programs, creation of employee value proposition message, campaign and processes to maximize the value of candidate experience, design of benefits, compensation and employee assistance programs in alignment with company objectives and employee value proposition, and the establishment of an agile performance development process, career pathing, and succession planning.

In 2020 Priscila was recruited to apply her proven success strategies in healthcare, first at Bridge Senior Living and subsequently at Trilogy Health Services. While 2020 and 2021 were primarily dedicated to managing the labor crisis within the long-term care segment amidst the global pandemic, Priscila was able to make significant progress by implementing DE&I programs in both organizations, revamping talent acquisition practices to maximize candidate flow, and improving time to fill, redesigning compensation and benefits strategies, retooling training programs, and increasing employee satisfaction levels despite the difficulties brought about by COVID-19. In 2020 Trilogy was the only Long-Term Care company to make the Glassdoor 100 Best Workplaces in the U.S.

Priscila holds a B.A. in Communications and Marketing, a Master’s in Global Human Resources Management, Executive Coaching Certification, and multiple HR, DE&I, and psychometric instruments certifications.
